Cookie Policy

Effective October 25, 2026. Last updated October 25, 2026.

In short

hockeytape.ca sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, may set one strictly necessary security cookie to filter bots. Because there are no non-essential cookies, there is no consent tool and nothing to opt into or out of.

hockeytape.ca is owned and operated by Scott Plumptree, an individual in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains how the site handles cookies and similar technologies. The short answer is that it does not use them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Websites use them to function, remember preferences, analyze usage or track visitors for advertising.

Cookies may be session-based (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (stored for a set period). Similar technologies include pixels, tags and browser storage such as local storage.

2. How We Use Cookies

We do not. The site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. It runs no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. Fonts and images are self-hosted, and a strict Content-Security-Policy blocks third-party scripts.

The footer shows you your own page-load time. This is measured in your browser and never sent anywhere.

3. Types of Cookies

Strictly Necessary Cookies

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to filter bots and protect the site from abuse. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to operate and do not require consent where the law allows.

Functional, Analytics and Advertising Cookies

None. We do not use cookies to remember preferences, measure visits or deliver ads.

Because the site uses no non-essential cookies, there is no cookie consent tool and no banner. There is nothing to accept, reject or customize.

5. Third-Party Cookies

The only third party that may set a cookie is Cloudflare, Inc., for the security purpose described above. Its use of data is governed by the Cloudflare privacy policy. Data processed by Cloudflare may be handled in the United States.

Sponsored placements on the site involve no tracking of visitors.

6. Managing Cookies

You can block or delete cookies, or have your browser warn you before one is set:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking the security cookie may affect how the site works.

7. Do Not Sell or Share

No cookie on this site is used to sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. See our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

8. Data Usage

Any data handled in connection with the security cookie is covered by our Privacy Policy.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
