California Notice at Collection

hockeytape.ca is owned and operated by Scott Plumptree, an individual in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

This notice is given at or before the point of collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). It summarizes the categories of personal information we collect, why, and your rights. We do not offer any discount, promotion or other financial incentive in exchange for personal information. 1. Categories of Personal Information Collected

We collect personal information only through two optional forms and the technical data needed to deliver the site:

Identifiers: name and email address, if you provide them
Professional information: company name, from the advertising enquiry form
Content you submit: your story, level, position, team or league, tape description, areas of interest and messages
Internet or network activity: IP address, browser type and request logs, processed by our host to deliver and protect the site

We do not ask for sensitive personal information. Children under 13 should not submit a form without a parent or guardian.

To review your story and, with your consent, edit and publish it
To reply to advertising enquiries and follow up on what you sent
To keep the site secure and block spam
To comply with the law

3. Sources

Directly from you, through our forms
Automatically, through our host, Cloudflare, when you load a page

We disclose personal information only to our service providers, Cloudflare (hosting and form handling) and Airtable (storage of submissions), and to the public when you consent to publication of your story. Your name is shown only if you choose, and your email is never published.

We do not sell or share personal information. The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies, so nothing on it counts as cross-context behavioural advertising. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

5. Retention

We keep submissions only as long as needed to review, publish or reply to them, and delete them on request.

6. Your California Rights

You have the right to know and access, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. An authorized agent may make a request for you with proof of your authorization.
